Academics

Young Public School is committed to our students’ academic achievement. Our curriculum addresses the academic, social, and emotional needs of the whole child so that our students graduate well-prepared for success beyond high school.

Preschool

We believe the educational experiences children have in their early years lays the groundwork for academic success throughout school. That’s why we offer fun, quality, age-appropriate experiences for three to five-year-olds in our community. Our preschool program also provides early childhood developmental screenings, interventions, and services for those in need of early intervention.

Our staff guides children’s natural curiosity through play-based learning experiences that foster each child’s social, emotional, physical, and academic growth. Using Teaching Strategies’ Creative Curriculum, Hatch Ignite, and the Empower program, our students gain a foundation of science inquiry, problem solving, and early literacy.

If you are interested in enrolling your child in our program or have questions about what your child might experience at YPS’s Developmental Preschool, please review our Preschool Parent Handbook or contact Katie Clemmer.

Elementary

Our elementary program focuses on laying a strong foundation in reading and math that will carry our students through the upper grades. We encourage our students to think creatively, develop personal responsibility, and learn to communicate effectively.
