Our Governing Board

The five individuals on our school board are elected community members who volunteer their time for the benefit of our school and students. They set district policy; assist in planning, budgeting, and implementing school programs; and help to ensure fiscal responsibility to provide every student at YPS with a quality education.

The public is welcome to attend our regular board meetings, which take place in the YPS computer lab at 6:00 p.m. on the second Monday of every month. Within 24 hours prior to each month’s meeting, we will post a meeting agenda on this page.
Board work sessions are generally held the week prior to each regular meeting at 6:00 p.m.
During our special board meetings, we request that all comments for “Call to Public” agenda items be made in writing prior to our meeting. This will ensure that board members have adequate time to consider public opinions. Please send all such comments to our board secretary.
